Mapwize provided the official map of Web Summit 2019 in Lisbon, the major technology conference that brought together more than 70,000 attendees. The digital map, directly embedded into the official event app, indicated the exact location of thousands of exhibitors, stages, lounges and catering stands in a 150,000 m2 total exhibition area.
For this edition, Web Summit integrated Mapwize’s offline feature for both iOS and Android so the map would load instantly and could be used even with no internet connection. As most startups only exhibit 1 day at Web Summit, a different map was available for each day. This was made possible using the “universes” feature which allows to create multiple views of the same building.
Mapwize has received many positive feedbacks from hundreds of users, stating it saves them a lot of time finding their way around the site. On the booth, the team spoke with visitors from all over Europe and even from Brazil and Japan. The show was definitely a great success!
